Saturday afternoon and Lindängen's IP in Malmö was filled with eager supporters ahead of the match between BK Olympic and IS Halmia in Division 2 Västra Götaland for men. But to the great disappointment of the spectators, the match was played without an audience due to the ongoing pandemic.

Referee Oscar Johnson blew the whistle to start the match, and it was BK Olympic who took the initiative right away. After just ten minutes, Terry Adadevoh Svensson stepped up and scored 1-0 for the home team. However, it didn’t take long for IS Halmia to strike back, as Ronny Sabo equalized after twelve minutes.

BK Olympic would regain the lead when Aron Nouicer headed in 2-1 in the nineteenth minute. But this match was full of twists, as Ola Lindh equalized for IS Halmia just four minutes later. Viktor Jarälv from IS Halmia then received a yellow card in the 28th minute.

The second half offered even more excitement. IS Halmia was first to score, with Ola Lindh finding the net again, making it 2-3 in the 65th minute.

But BK Olympic would not give up; Jesper Örnberg came in during the 67th minute and just three minutes later became a goal-scorer, equalizing at 3-3. With a fast pace, the match continued, and Filip Bohman then scored 4-3 for the home team in the 74th minute.

IS Halmia made two substitutions and desperately tried to equalize, but it was BK Olympic who managed to calm down the game. The away team received one last warning with Andreas Åström in the 84th minute.

The match ended in the best possible way for BK Olympic when Jesper Örnberg scored 5-3 just before the referee's final whistle. BK Olympic displayed impressive fighting spirit and managed to secure the crucial three points, which means they finished in second place in the table. IS Halmia, on the other hand, has to settle for seventh place.
