The fourth round of Division 2 Västra Götaland took us to Rosenlunds IP 3 in Jönköping for a match between IK Tord and Ullareds IK. In front of a crowd of 220 people, who braved the light rain, it was a match that both teams should have decided.
Ullareds IK was the better team during the first half and had several chances to take the lead. But both Anton Bodin and Simon Torstensson missed their opportunities. Instead, Bodin received a yellow card in the 28th minute for aggressive defending.
IK Tord, on the other hand, took control of the game in the second half but struggled to create scoring opportunities. Ludvig Hördegård was cautioned after he brought down a Ullared player, and the situation became intense as both teams grew increasingly desperate to score.
The coaches decided to make several substitutions to bring fresh legs onto the field. However, even though the substitutions made a slight difference, neither team could decide the match. Both pressed on and created chances, but failed to get the ball in the net.
The match thus ended 0-0, with one point each for both teams. Almir Kadiric, who was the main referee for the match, had his hands full keeping an eye on the eager players. The assistant referees Filip Liljegren and Gabriel Butros performed well, however.
This result means that IK Tord now has three points from four matches and is in tenth place in the table. Ullareds IK is in fourth place with seven points after four matches. Thus, we conclude our report on this match. See you next time!
