The autumn air was cold when Sävedalens IF hosted Lindome GIF at Vallhamra 2 Artificial Turf on Friday. Despite the meager turnout of only 100 spectators, the atmosphere was vibrant when referee Cavit Kinali kicked off the match in Division 2 Västra Götaland, men.

It was the visiting Lindome that got off to a dream start when they were awarded a penalty after 23 minutes, which Robert Lipovac converted well, putting the ball in the net. Sävedalen tried to apply pressure and equalize, but Lindome created more dangerous chances further up the field. Before halftime, Lipovac had another opportunity to score, which he did, extending the lead to 2-0 for the away team.

After the halftime break, Sävedalen's coach Jimmie Andersson made two ambitious substitutions by bringing on Wilmer Melander and Kebba Sanyang. Despite Sävedalen's efforts, it was again Lipovac who made his mark, completing his hat-trick by scoring 3-0 for Lindome after 68 minutes.

However, Sävedalen found a small consolation when Jonathan Liljedahl scored following a nice pass from Fredrik Alnäs, reducing the score to 3-1. In the final part of the match, the home team fought to create chances, but Lindome played smartly and held off any potential comeback from Sävedalen. The match ended 3-1, and Lindome could head home with a well-deserved victory.
