Sävedalens IF had a tough start to the match when Varbergs GIF FK scored two quick goals at the beginning of the first half. Vilhelm Åkervall Stenqvist and Liam Munther were responsible for the goals, and it looked bleak for the home team. However, Sävedalen tried to find their way back into the match and reduced the deficit after just over 50 minutes through Kebba Sanyang.
