It was an exciting Division 2 match between IK Sturehov and Västerås SK FK played on Saturday afternoon at Sörbyvallen in Örebro. The attendance was not particularly impressive, with only 50 people present, but that did not stop the players on the field from giving their all.
IK Sturehov started the match with high energy, and after 21 minutes of play, Alma Lerjeryd managed to break the deadlock, putting the ball in the net behind Västerås SK FK’s goalkeeper. Sturehov continued to press and create dangerous opportunities but was unable to extend their lead.
Västerås SK FK, however, was not ready to give up, and after a free kick, Elsa Sund scored to equalize the match at 1-1 with a beautiful shot that went past Sturehov’s goalkeeper. The match was now wide open, and both teams fought hard to take the lead.
The game became increasingly intense, and in the 75th minute, Pailin Kristensson received a yellow card after a tough tackle. The pace continued to rise, and in the 88th minute, Västerås SK FK’s Alicia Nordström also received a yellow card.
The match ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw, a fair result from an exciting game. Although neither IK Sturehov nor Västerås SK FK managed to secure a victory, they could be pleased with their performance. Sturehov remains in fourth place while Västerås SK FK retains its second place in the standings.
