BIK Fotboll secured an important victory at home on Bondsjöhöjdens IP when they defeated Höga Kusten 3-1 in Division 3 Ångermanland for women. The match started with an early lead for the visiting team as Sanna Norlander headed in a nice corner kick in the third minute. However, BIK Fotboll quickly responded, and in the sixth minute, it was Hilma Melander who equalized for the home team with a well-placed shot after a nice counterattack.
The match continued at a high pace, and both teams had several chances to take the lead. Höga Kusten received a warning in the 20th minute when Tilde Vestin Öberg brought down an opponent in the penalty area, but BIK Fotboll could not take advantage of the free kick. Instead, it was Tuva Kassberg who scored to make it 2-1 for BIK Fotboll in the 22nd minute with a nice finish after a quick transition.
The second half was somewhat cautious from both teams, and it wasn't until the 75th minute that the next goal was scored. Once again, it was Hilma Melander who became the match-winner for BIK Fotboll as she netted her second goal of the evening, increasing the lead to 3-1. Höga Kusten fought to get back into the match but came no closer than a couple of half-chances.
Referee Abbe Burman allowed the game to flow well, and the match featured several nice combinations and technical performances from both teams. The audience present at Bondsjöhöjdens IP enjoyed entertaining soccer on a beautiful Tuesday evening.
