There were high expectations for a tough match when Sävedalens IF faced Öckerö IF in Sunday’s afternoon match in Division 3 Gothenburg for women at Vallhamra 2 Artificial Grass. With only 25 people in the stands, the match began calmly until the first goal was scored just three minutes in. Enni Andersson from Sävedalens IF found the net, setting the tone for the rest of the match.
Sävedalens IF impressed greatly in the first half of the match with two more goals from Selma Holmberg and Enni Andersson. However, Öckerö IF did not give up and fought back with two goals from Linnéa Aronsson and Sigrid Bryngelhed, reducing the deficit to 3-2.
Öckerö IF continued to fight hard in the second half, and Bryngelhed managed to score another goal, bringing the score to 3-3 after 62 minutes of the match. With only nine minutes left on the clock, Moa Nilsson from Öckerö IF scored the go-ahead goal, while Sävedalens IF seemed to have lost their momentum.
But just before the final whistle, with only two minutes left on the clock, Tindra Jarl from Sävedalens IF managed to equalize the match to 4-4. Thus, the score remained, and the match ended without any further points for either team.
The referee for the day was Suhayb Mohammed, assisted by linesmen Diego Alejandro Olivares Jilberto and Tindra Frejinger. It was an intense match with six goals in 90 minutes, showcasing strong performances from both teams. This was an experience that definitely did not leave the spectators disappointed.
