Ytterby IS hosted IF Mölndal Fotboll in an exciting match on Monday evening at Ytterns IP 3 artificial grass. Despite the arena being empty due to spectator restrictions, the teams provided entertaining football.
It was Ytterby IS who took the lead in the 14th minute through Wilma Axelsson, following a nice attack down the right flank. Ytterby continued to play offensively, and in the 36th minute Ida Lindqvist increased the lead for the home team to 2-0.
In the second half, IF Mölndal Fotboll battled to get back into the match with Therese Öborn scoring in the 46th minute. However, Ytterby IS quickly responded with Ida Andersson making it 3-1 in the 51st minute.
IF Mölndal Fotboll did not give up, and Ella Söderberg reduced the score to 3-2 in the 58th minute. Six minutes later, the team managed to equalize, again through Therese Öborn.
The match became very intense, resulting in two yellow cards, one for Agnes Hermansson of IF Mölndal Fotboll and another for Sophie Eliasson of Ytterby IS. The final result was 3-3, which could be considered fair as both teams displayed great determination and a will to win.
Referees Osman Yücel, Deniz Ferati, and Fidel Shiba had a challenging evening at work in a match that was filled with teamwork and intense attacks.
