It was a sunny Saturday afternoon at Ytterns IP 3 artificial turf when Ytterby IS faced Öckerö IF in Division 3 Gothenburg, women's league. Despite the lack of spectators, it was an intense and exciting match. Ytterby IS took the lead right from the kickoff when Julia Cederberg skillfully sent the ball into the net after just one minute of play.
Öckerö IF tried to equalize immediately but struggled to break through Ytterby's strong defense. Instead, it was Ytterby who extended their lead after seven minutes when Julia Cederberg scored her second goal of the day. Öckerö did not give up and attempted to reduce the deficit, which they managed to do after 30 minutes when Sigrid Bryngelhed received a well-placed ball and scored.
However, Ytterby IS was not quite satisfied with 2-1 and continued to push for more. After 40 minutes, Malin Enberg executed a beautiful lob over the Öckerö goalkeeper, increasing the lead to 3-1. In the second half, Ytterby continued to dominate, and after 52 minutes, Wilma Axelsson scored to make it 4-1 following a fine solo effort. Just four minutes later, Cecilia Byberg also contributed to the scoring with a stunning long-range shot that sailed into the far corner of the net.
Öckerö IF did not give up and continued to push forward. After 67 minutes, Sigrid Bryngelhed reduced the margin again, giving hope to her team. But it was too little, too late. Ytterby IS held on, and in the 85th minute, Sofia Åkerström sealed the deal with her goal, making it 6-2.
Referee Tilda Gustafsson and her assistant referees Mustafa Kalajdzisalihovic and Ilir Shasha were kept busy monitoring the events on the field, but none of them had to make any controversial decisions. When the final whistle blew, Ytterby IS emerged victorious with a score of 6-2 against Öckerö IF.
