Sundsvall DFF Development secured a convincing victory in Division 3 Medelpad, women’s, at Selånger IP on Wednesday evening. The match ended 2-7 after an uneven contest where the home team, Selånger SK Dam Development, struggled to keep up with their opponents.
Sundsvall started strong and took the lead in the 17th minute through Ida Vennström Kabagambe. Just eight minutes later, Elin Larsson extended the lead with two quick goals, giving Sundsvall an early 0-3 advantage.
Selånger attempted to find their way back into the match, and Hanna Rönngren reduced the score to 1-4 in the 49th minute. However, this was short-lived as Sundsvall quickly increased their lead again with two rapid goals from Lovisa Aronsson and Ida Vennström Kabagambe, who completed a hat trick in the 62nd minute.
Selånger managed to get a consolation goal from Hanna Rönngren in the 74th minute, but Sundsvall dominated the match, and Emma Forssbeck scored the final goal in the 84th minute, sealing a 2-7 victory.
The audience was absent due to restrictions, but the pitch at Selånger IP was in excellent condition, and the refereeing team, consisting of Abdulahi Shino, Fithawit Mebrhatu Tewelde, and Farhad Taherian, did a good job of keeping the match under control.
Sundsvall continues to demonstrate their strength in Division 3 Medelpad, women’s, while Selånger must return to the drawing board to plan how to get back on the winning track.
