It was an exciting match between Njurunda IK and Kovlands IF Ladies at Gumsekullen this Sunday evening. In front of an audience of 55, Kovlands IF Ladies started strong and took the lead after just eight minutes through Petra Blückert. Only two minutes later, Felicia Högkvist extended the lead to 2-0 for the away team.
However, Njurunda IK did not give up and reduced the score to 1-2 through Nellie Lauritzen after 12 minutes, which gave them new energy. Kovlands IF Ladies continued to be dangerous in their attacks, and Moa Nordin once again increased the lead to 3-1 after half an hour of play.
Njurunda IK kept fighting, and Moa Persson managed to reduce the score to 2-3 just before halftime, giving them hope for the second half. The game was intense, and both teams created several chances.
In the 79th minute, Moa Nordin received a warning for a tough tackle, but that didn’t stop Kovlands IF Ladies from continuing to press on. In the 82nd minute, Sandra Ehrnholm scored to make it 2-4 for the away team, which also became the final result.
Kovlands IF Ladies took an important victory against Njurunda IK and earned three points in Division 3 Medelpad Playoff A for women. It was an entertaining match with plenty of goals and exciting moments for the fans at Gumsekullen.
