IFK Skövde FK achieved an unexpected victory in Friday's match against Melleruds IF at Södermalms IP. In front of an audience of 80, mostly Mellerud supporters, the home team surprised everyone by taking the lead in the 24th minute through a deflection by Amer Ibrahimovic. Melleruds IF, who lead the table in Division 3 Mellersta Götaland, struggled to find their rhythm against Skövde's defense. Instead, Skövde extended their lead with another goal from Ibrahimovic in the 36th minute.
In the second half, Skövde continued to dominate the match. Ibrahimovic completed a hat trick, giving the home team an unexpected cushion with a 3-0 lead. Melleruds IF fought hard and managed to score a consolation goal through Albin Broberg in the 54th minute.
However, it was too late for Melleruds IF to turn the match around. Instead, Milot Nuredini, who came on as a substitute in the 69th minute, sealed the victory with a beautiful finish in the 90th minute.
Ulrik Hedfjärd was the official referee for the match, with Jusuf Bicoli and Mikael Andersson as assistants. Skövde's Ninos Ebrahim and Mellerud's Jonatan Stefansson received yellow cards in the first half, while Olle Emanuelsson from Skövde and Adam Jonasson from Mellerud were booked in the second half.
IFK Skövde FK takes three points and moves up a few places in the table, while Melleruds IF still leads but risks dropping points in the title race.
