It was a sunny Saturday afternoon when the Division 3 match between Kortedala IF and Öckerö IF kicked off at Kortedalavallen. Unfortunately, there was no crowd present to cheer on the teams. The referees for the day were Jure Sosic, with Adnan Tongur and Bashar Hariri as assistant referees.
The match started with high tempo from both teams, but it was Kortedala who took the lead just 15 minutes in. Kim Dickson became the scorer, making it 1-0 to the home team.
After just over 30 minutes, Ludvig Wiklander of Öckerö IF received a yellow card for a tough tackle. However, Kortedala IF continued to dominate the match, and after 34 minutes, Kim Dickson scored his second goal of the day, giving Kortedala a 2-0 lead.
The second half continued at the same pace, and Kortedala made their first substitution when Alisan Agac came on for Philip Cortez Vargas in the 52nd minute. At the same time, Samir Bosnic received a yellow card for Kortedala.
Kortedala then substituted Moses Ssewankambo for Nihad Cengic in the 57th minute, and Cengic was involved in a goal again just shortly after. In the 58th minute, Cengic found the net, increasing the lead to 3-0.
Öckerö IF attempted to bring on Victor Nystedt and Hugo Ringeby to create something going forward. But it was Kortedala who continued to dominate the match, and in the 69th minute, Samir Bosnic was substituted for Gabriel Garis.
During the final part of the match, Wilhelm Edman Walaker of Kortedala IF received a yellow card while Öckerö IF substituted Gustav Claeson for Carl Wiklander in the 77th minute. Shortly thereafter, Mattias Yildirim of Kortedala IF also received a yellow card.
With only a few minutes left in the match, Öckerö IF brought in Fabian Magnusson for John Andersson in hopes of getting a consolation goal. However, Kortedala held tight in defense and instead punished Öckerö with a crushing 4-0 victory when Najiib Abdi Qadir Dhoore scored in injury time.
Kortedala IF emerged victorious from the match after a well-executed performance by the entire team. Öckerö IF, on the other hand, will have to go home and gather new strength for their next match.
