It was a sunny Saturday afternoon when Hestrafors IF hosted Ytterby IS at Eriksdalsparken in Olsfors in front of an empty grandstand. The referee Tobias Haane blew the whistle to start the match, and just two minutes in, the away team took the lead through Joakim Thornberg, who confidently converted a penalty, sending Ytterby IS ahead 1-0.

Ytterby continued to apply pressure, and in the 37th minute, they doubled their lead to 2-0 through Fredrik Strand. Hestrafors fought to get back into the match and just before halftime, they managed to reduce the deficit through Emil Pettersson, which gave them some hope for the second half.

At halftime, Ytterby IS made a substitution, bringing Mattias Thornberg in for Joakim Thornberg. Hestrafors tried to chase an equalizer in the second half and made two substitutions with Samuel Möller and Anders Simonsson coming on.

The match became physical, with several cautions issued to both sides. Hestrafors pushed hard to catch up, but Ytterby IS held firm, and the final score was 2-1 in favor of the away team. An important victory for Ytterby, while Hestrafors can take their fighting spirit into the next match.
