It was a sunny Sunday afternoon when Gottne IF faced Björna IF at Haraldsängen 1 in Division 3 Middle Norrland. In front of a crowd of 250 people and under the supervision of referee Ivica Matanovic, the teams took to the field to fight for three points.
It didn’t take long for the home team, Gottne IF, to take the lead. Just four minutes in, Jordan Hancox headed in the first goal, making it 1-0 after a well-taken corner. Björna IF tried to apply pressure on Gottne, but they were too strong and managed to extend their lead after 20 minutes when Demir Avdic scored with another header to make it 2-0. Just two minutes later, Johan Vestin increased the lead to 3-0.
In the second half, Björna IF attempted to fight their way back into the match. However, Gottne IF maintained their clean sheet and continued to score goals. After a nice build-up play, Demir Avdic headed in his second goal of the match, making it 4-0. Following that, Gottne IF substituted Demir Avdic and Jordan Hancox, bringing in Victor Fahlberg and Edward Khan Ndi.
While Björna IF substituted in Tobias Sellin and Johan Jakobsson to try to get back into the match, Gottne IF had everything under control. Cherubin Tindani Boykoule made it 5-0 in the 73rd minute, and Björna IF made one last substitution when Yusuf Kaka Chawila came on for Marcus Fransson.
The match was soon coming to an end, but Cherubin Tindani Boykoule scored yet another goal in stoppage time, sealing the deal. Gottne IF won the match with an impressive 6-0, securing a strong victory that placed them second in the table. Björna IF continues to struggle and remains at the bottom of the standings.
