On Saturday afternoon, two Division 3 teams, Matfors IF and Tegs SK Fotboll, clashed at Thulevallen. Unfortunately, the match was not attended by any spectators, but it had a good refereeing trio with Jonathan Forsman, Jesper Löf, and Roger Lundbäck.
It was the home team, Matfors IF, that took the lead just eight minutes into the match through Jimmy Holmgren. Matfors IF continued to showcase their strength as Sebastian Koivisto Persson increased the lead to 2-0 in the 11th minute.
Tegs SK Fotboll tried to get back into the game, and Hampus Edlund managed to score for his team, making it 2-1 in the 15th minute. However, this was short-lived, as Robin Bergman scored his first of two goals, extending Matfors IF's lead to 3-1 in the 34th minute.
Tegs SK Fotboll did not give up, and Karl Dahlberg managed to score, bringing the score to 3-2 in the 40th minute.
But Matfors IF wanted to continue showing their dominance by scoring yet another goal at the end of the first half. Robin Bergman scored his second goal, increasing Matfors IF’s lead to 4-2 in the 44th minute.
It was a strategic halftime break where Tegs SK Fotboll made a couple of substitutions in an attempt to improve their position. However, it was Matfors IF that again created goal-scoring opportunities. Sebastian Koivisto Persson improved his performance by scoring his second goal, increasing Matfors IF’s lead to 5-2 in the 68th minute.
Tegs SK Fotboll attempted a final push to reduce the deficit, but it was Daniel Boström who scored Matfors IF’s sixth and final goal, sealing the result at 6-2 in the 90th minute.
The match was goal-rich, and Matfors IF demonstrated their dominance on home soil. Tegs SK Fotboll gave their best, but it was not enough to match the strength of Matfors IF.
