The match started with an early goal from Daniel Brynolf for BK Derby in the 11th minute, but Högsby IK quickly responded through Johan Persson, who equalized in the 20th minute. Oliver Lundström then scored Högsby's second goal in the 39th minute before Adam Eriksson equalized for BK Derby again in the 57th minute.

The match seemed poised to end in a draw, but in the 90th minute, Anton Johnsson scored the decisive goal for Högsby IK, resulting in a 4-3 victory. With this result, the season came to a close, with Högsby IK finishing in fourth place in the table while BK Derby ended up in seventh place. A thrilling match and a worthy conclusion to the season for both teams.
