It was a sunny and warm Saturday afternoon at Lambohovsvallen when AFK Linköping hosted Nässjö FF in Division 3 North-East Götaland. The crowd was not large but enthusiastic.
The match started with a high tempo and both teams created chances. After 25 minutes, Nässjö FF's Viktor Rosenqvist received a yellow card for a foul tackle.
At halftime, the score was still 0-0, but that would soon change. At the beginning of the second half, Nässjö FF made their first substitution, with Pontus Göth replacing Tobias Svensson. After 67 minutes, Nässjö FF made two substitutions at the same time when Alexander Herbertsson came on for Bojan Kakas.
Shortly after the substitution, AFK Linköping scored their first and only goal of the match when Simon Bodén put the ball in the net, assisted by Pontus Rödin. However, Bodén would not remain on the pitch for long, as he was substituted for Josef Haddad just one minute later.
Nässjö FF also substituted players, with Milos Mladenovic replacing Jesper Frohm Tallberg in the 75th minute. Just a few minutes later, Mikael Sonesson was substituted for Christian von Koch at AFK Linköping.
The match became increasingly intense, and several yellow cards were issued, to both AFK Linköping and Nässjö FF. Daud Dirie received a yellow card for AFK Linköping in the 79th minute, and Josef Haddad was cautioned just four minutes later.
But it would be AFK Linköping who would have the final word as Khalid Rage Abukar scored a splendid goal at the end of the match, bringing the final score to 2-0 in favor of AFK Linköping. It was a delightful victory for AFK Linköping in front of a smaller but still enthusiastic crowd.
