Högsby IK started the match strongly and created several dangerous goal opportunities right from the beginning. Boxholms IF had to fight hard to hold their ground, but at the same time, they faced problems with their defensive play. After 21 minutes, Rasmus Andersson received a yellow card for Boxholms IF, and just seven minutes later, Sebastian Pettersson met the same fate.

Högsby IK continued to press on, and Axel Karlsson received a yellow card in the 32nd minute. Shortly thereafter, Boxholms IF made their first substitution, with Lucas Westergren replacing Arman Ghaemi.

In the second half, Sebastian Pettersson was substituted for Johan Fäldt to add more pace to the attack. However, it was Högsby IK who would find the net. Högsby IK won 0-3 away at Svartåvallen in front of 186 spectators. Referee Senad Hodzic maintained an acceptable level, and assistant referees Fredrik Borälv and William Unosson also did a good job. Despite the loss, Boxholms IF can take away several positive efforts and look forward to upcoming matches.
