On Wednesday evening, Högsby IK faced Boxholms IF at Arena Ulf Davidson 1 in a match in Division 3 Northeastern Götaland for men. Unfortunately, there was no crowd, but referee Joakim Wik and assistant referees Armin Crnovrsanin and Mattis Andersson got the match underway anyway.

After 30 minutes, Högsby received their first warning of the match when Carl Savolainen received a yellow card. But just a few minutes later, they took the lead with a score of 1-0 after a goal from Axel Karlsson.

Boxholms IF tried to fight their way back into the match, but it was Högsby IK that continued to dominate. After 45 minutes, Ibrahim Kalilu Fofanah scored a penalty goal, and Boxholms' Christoffer Fridlund was sent off. Only a few seconds later, Boxholms’ assistant coach Sölve Fridlund was also sent off.

At halftime, Boxholms IF made a substitution, bringing Simon Larsson onto the field in place of Ricky Younan. But unfortunately, it didn't help. Victor Ivarsson made it 3-0 for Högsby IK just a few minutes into the second half.

Boxholms' Markus Andersson received a yellow card shortly after and was then substituted for Lucas Westergren. But Högsby continued to push forward, and Olle Dolk scored 4-0 after 70 minutes.

Boxholms received another yellow card, this time for Arman Ghaemi, but they could not stop Högsby from scoring yet another goal. Victor Ivarsson netted his second goal of the evening, sealing the final score at 5-0 in favor of Högsby.

A convincing victory for Högsby IK and a tough match for Boxholms IF, who now need to regroup.
