Last Saturday, Tenhults IF and Vimmerby IF faced off at Kabevallen 1 in a Division 3 match in front of 75 spectators. Tenhults IF was at the bottom of the table, while Vimmerby IF seemingly held a secure eighth place.
The match started with a substitution for the home team as Robert Shlimon came on for Fabian Kryeziu. Just seven minutes in, Shlimon received a yellow card. After ten minutes, Vimmerby made their first substitution when Mohammed Shafa Ibrahim replaced William Westerholm.
After 30 minutes, Gentonis Gjikokaj took a free kick and sent the ball into the net, giving Tenhult the lead in the match. However, it wouldn’t be long before Vimmerby equalized with a goal from Joakim Storm after 34 minutes.
Just before halftime, Simon Sandholm scored with a header, putting Vimmerby ahead 2-1. In the second half, Sandholm scored his second header, extending Vimmerby’s lead to 3-1.
After 73 minutes, Vimmerby substituted Simon Larsson for Daniel Deya Gorges, and in the same minute, Adam Öksüz scored Tenhult's second goal. Shortly after, Adam Gemheden received a yellow card.
With 80 minutes on the clock, Vimmerby’s Amel Komina received a yellow card, and Tenhult made two substitutions simultaneously. Michael Walsh Junior and Adam Hansson came on for Philip Djup and Yasin Abdullahi Abdulkadir.
With two minutes remaining, Adam Rubin scored Tenhult's third goal, but it wasn’t enough to equalize the match. The final score was 4-3 in favor of Vimmerby.
The referee for the match was Jasin Holmegren, assisted by Glenn Karlsson and Patricia Yacoub. Despite the many goals and several yellow cards, it was a well-played match by both teams.
