IF Warta started strongly and took the lead just 15 minutes into the match through Gabriel Lubian Petrides. Vänersborgs IF tried to fight their way back into the game, but it was IF Warta that continued to dominate.

In the 38th minute, Ahmad Khreis doubled IF Warta's lead to 2-0, and just five minutes later, he scored again to make it 3-0. Gabriel Lubian Petrides then made it 4-0 for IF Warta in the 52nd minute, and it looked like an easy victory for the league leaders.

However, Vänersborgs IF did not give up and reduced the deficit through Andreas Kärnfalk in the 60th minute. The team began to create more chances, and when Kärnfalk scored his second goal of the match in the 90th minute, it suddenly looked like an exciting finish was in store.

Nils Berner also made it 3-4 for Vänersborgs IF in the 90th minute, but the team could not get any closer than that, and IF Warta managed to hold on and take all three points from the match.

The match featured many heated duels, and several players received warnings, but in the end, it was IF Warta that secured the victory and continued their pursuit of the league title. Vänersborgs IF will have to reset and prepare for their next match in hopes of climbing higher in the table.
