The match started evenly and both teams fought hard on the artificial turf pitch. But it was IF Angered United who took the lead after 15 minutes through Haris Heremic. Vänersborgs IF tried to get back into the game and made an early change to try to create more offensive power.

In the 40th minute Vänersborgs IF got a warning and the game became more intense. Before the halftime break, it became dramatic when both teams had one player sent off each. Christian Sundén Niemi got the red card for Vänersborgs IF and Subeyr Sofa for IF Angered United.

In the second half, the battle continued in the middle of the field and Vänersborgs IF got a penalty that David Bennhage put nicely and equalized to 1-1. This goal also increased the tempo of the match and both teams changed players to try to find the winning goal.

But it was IF Angered United who managed to score the decisive goal in the 86th minute through Yonis Hussen and won the match 2-1. Although Vänersborgs IF fought until the last second, they did not manage to turn the match around and IF Angered United took three important points in Division 3 Nordvästra Götaland.
