IFK Hjo took an early lead in the match through Erik Wallskog, but Holmalunds IF Alingsås managed to equalize before halftime with a goal from David Hall. The second half was more even, and both teams tried to find the decisive goal.

After an exciting second half, IFK Hjo regained the lead through Elvedin Kusturica just a minute after he was substituted in. Despite attempts from Holmalunds IF Alingsås to come back into the match, they were unable to score the equalizer.
