Herrestad's first goal came in the 23rd minute thanks to Haidar Omar, who collected the ball at the halfway line and navigated through Alingsås' defense to score a reduction. The street battle continued, and just three minutes later, Lukas Martinsson scored a beautiful goal from close range, which would also serve as the halftime score after an intense first half.
After the break, Herrestad continued to force the visitors onto the defensive. Alexander Klang leveled the score in the 60th minute. Just two minutes later, Alingsås found themselves unlucky as they inadvertently scored an own goal, giving Herrestad the lead. In the 74th minute, Isak Pettersson-Pohl could increase the home team's lead further.
Alingsås desperately tried to fight their way back into the match by making substitutions in the 85th minute, but it didn’t help. Herrestad maintained their lead and secured all three points.
