The sunny Saturday afternoon at JIABvallen offered an exciting Division 3 match between Bergnäsets AIK and Storfors AIK. In front of an audience of 94, referee Peter Nilsson and his assistants Johan Andersson and Konrad Olsson took their positions on the field to officiate the match.
It was Storfors AIK that took command from the start, and just in the 13th minute, they managed to open the scoring through Jonas Wikstén. Only five minutes later, they extended their lead with a goal from Pontus Sundqvist, creating a significant uphill battle for the home team.
However, Bergnäsets AIK did not give up, and in the 25th minute, Ken Roar Pettersen reduced the score to 1-2 with a nice finish. The team continued to fight, and in the 49th minute, Jonas Boman equalized from the penalty spot.
In the 71st minute, Bergnäsets AIK took the lead for the first time in the match with yet another penalty goal from Jonas Boman. Storfors attempted to come back by making a substitution, but it was Bergnäset’s day, and they held off the opposition.
When the referee blew the final whistle, it was clear that Bergnäsets AIK had won 4-2 after an impressive comeback. A well-deserved victory for a determined home team that showed great fighting spirit and a will to turn the match in their favor.
