It was a dramatic Saturday afternoon at Tunavallen when Notvikens IK faced the league leaders IFK Umeå in Division 3 Norra Norrland. In front of a small crowd of only 63 spectators, it was the home team that started strongest and took the lead after 31 minutes of play with a goal from Jesper Jakobsson. Just three minutes later, Jonatan Pantzare doubled the lead to 2-0 with a well-placed shot.
The second half continued at the same pace, and IFK Umeå wanted to show why they were at the top of the table. Four minutes into the half, Simon Frohm reduced the score to 2-1 with a fine header that went past the Notvikens goalkeeper. Shortly thereafter, Erik Westbom from IFK Umeå received a yellow card.
Emil Lindberg from Notvikens IK received a yellow card after 62 minutes into the match. Shortly after, IFK Umeå made a substitution as Jesper Lindgren Gysenius came onto the field in place of Amar Mujakovic.
With about 20 minutes left in the match, Notvikens IK made a substitution, bringing Atoha Ataev on for Lindberg. This proved to be a successful change as Ataev assisted Daniel Öman’s goal that gave Notvikens the lead at 3-1.
IFK Umeå brought in Rasmus Portin to replace Jonathan Lundin, and Notvikens IK's Jesper Jakobsson was substituted for Robert Lidhammar. Ataev received a yellow card after 75 minutes, and Samuel Wiklund reduced the score to 3-2 for IFK Umeå after 77 minutes of play.
With a couple of minutes left in the second half, IFK Umeå desperately tried to equalize, but the home team's defense held strong. Both teams made last-minute substitutions as Nino Tietäväinen came on for Notvikens IK, and Sebastian Glaas came on for IFK Umeå. The final result was 3-2 in favor of Notvikens IK, who climbed to fifth place in the table. IFK Umeå remained the league leaders after the match.
