It was a sunny Saturday afternoon and Lombia IP was packed with 157 spectators as Kiruna FF faced Umeå FC Akademi in Division 3 Norra Norrland. Referee Johan Nyström and his assistant referees Johan Sjöström and Tomas Granström took their places on the field, and the match could begin.

Umeå FC Akademi started strong, and just four minutes in, Hugo Westerberg received a warning from the referee. However, this did not prevent the team from taking the lead in the seventh minute when Victor Kamf scored, making it 0-1. Kiruna FF, however, would not be discouraged and after half an hour of play, Adam Johnson equalized to 1-1.

The second half began with high intensity from both teams, and it was Umeå FC Akademi who pulled ahead again. After 59 minutes of play, Hugo Westerberg scored his second goal of the day, giving Umeå FC Akademi the lead once more at 1-2. Kiruna FF fought to come back but failed to get the ball into the net, and the match ended 1-2.
