It was sunny and warm at Österåker Athletics Arena when IFK Österåker FK hosted Vallentuna BK in a heated Division 3 match on Saturday afternoon. In front of an audience of 180 spectators, the home team started the match strongest, and just 15 minutes in, Ghalamreza Nematullahi Musavi scored to make it 1-0 for IFK Österåker.

Vallentuna tried to apply pressure on the home side and created several dangerous chances, but it was instead IFK Österåker who extended their lead just before halftime. Sebastian Kjernholm scored to make it 2-0 in the 43rd minute, increasing the excitement among the home supporters.

At halftime, Vallentuna made a quick change to their lineup, substituting Antanas Brusokas for Alexis Higuera Miranda. This paid off immediately, as Vallentuna began to find their way back into the match more and more.

IFK Österåker lost focus and started to accumulate more and more yellow cards. Diarra Ismael Badji received a yellow card in the 60th minute after a tough tackle. Vallentuna continued to push, and in the 88th minute, Yahya Sharif finally scored for the away team. The goal gave Vallentuna renewed hope as they tried to catch up, but it wasn’t enough. IFK Österåker held on to win the match 2-1, which sent the home supporters into ecstasy.

Referee Bojan Stojanovic officiated the match with his assistant referees Anvar Khayati and Amir Ali Vesnic, and the match was exciting right up until the final whistle. IFK Österåker FK left with the victory, while Vallentuna BK suffered their sixth loss in seven matches.
