In front of a full Sundbybergs IP 1, Sundbybergs IK faced league leaders IFK Uppsala in what can only be described as an exciting match in Division 3 Norra Svealand. The home team, sitting in second place in the table, knew that three points here would give them a better chance to challenge for the league title.

The match began with a high tempo from both teams, but it was Sundbybergs IK that would take the lead after eight minutes. Gustaf Jensen broke through the Uppsala defense and managed to find the back of the net behind a helpless Uppsala goalkeeper.

After the goal, Sundbybergs IK continued to dominate the match and created several good chances but failed to score again in the first half. Instead, it would take until the beginning of the second half for Sundbybergs IK to double their lead, as Rasmus Robarth converted a well-deserved penalty after a handball invitation from the Uppsala defense.

However, IFK Uppsala did not give up despite being two goals down. They continued to pressure Sundbybergs IK, and it paid off when Daniel Michel managed to reduce the deficit to 2-1 in the 86th minute after good interplay from the Uppsala forwards. Despite their attempts to equalize, IFK Uppsala could not find the back of the net again, and the match ended 2-1 in favor of Sundbybergs IK.

With this victory, Sundbybergs IK secured an important win against the league leaders and cemented their second place in the table. IFK Uppsala was weakened by the loss but retained their position in the table and will look to regain a motivating form for upcoming matches. It was an exciting and well-played match that provided plenty of entertainment for the 180 spectators present at Sundbybergs IP 1.
