The home team started strong and took the lead in the eleventh minute when Arvid Slätis scored 1-0 for Norrtälje. After 22 minutes, Rafid Chowdhury received a caution for the home team. Märsta IK tried to respond but had to make a substitution in the thirty-first minute, with Moses Weah Junior Hoffman coming on for Benjamin Suskic.

At halftime, the away team made another substitution, bringing in Aleksandar Radulj for Kevin Toure. Märsta IK fought desperately to equalize and made two substitutions at the end of the match. Ridwan Abdi Dahir came on for Samuel Alfarhan and Akram Al-Omairi replaced Mortda Zatki. In the 90th minute, Märsta IK managed to score their second goal and equalized the match, thanks to an outstanding performance by Calvin Almeida Yarjah. However, Märsta IK received a final caution in the third minute of stoppage time when Calvin Almeida Yarjah showed too much aggression.

The match ended 2-2, and BKV Norrtälje had to settle for one point at home against Märsta IK. Despite Norrtälje leading by two goals, Märsta IK was persistent and managed to snatch a point at the end of the match, which was a much-needed point for the visitors in their pursuit of climbing the table.
