GIF Nike tried to fight their way back into the match, but it was Fortuna FF who continued to demonstrate their effective attacking play. In the 80th minute, Emmie Persson was involved again and scored her third goal of the match, completing her hat trick. A few minutes later, Emelie Engdahl salvaged some honor for the home team by scoring the final goal of the match, reducing the score to 1-5.
Fortuna FF took home three much-needed points after this resounding victory and could celebrate a well-deserved result. For GIF Nike, however, it was a heavy defeat that requires some processing ahead of their next match. Referee Valdet Heta kept his head high and led the match in a stable manner.
