The match between Åkarps IF and Lunds BOIS was an exciting event that ended in a 2-2 draw. Despite being played in front of an empty stand at Åkarps IP A-plan, the teams provided entertaining football.
It was the visiting Lunds BOIS who took the lead after just 11 minutes when Frida Nilsson scored to make it 1-0. And just six minutes later, Kajsa Partoft doubled the lead to 2-0 for Lunds BOIS. However, Åkarps IF did not give up and reduced the deficit before halftime through Noemi Askarzada, bringing the score to 1-2 before the second half.
Immediately after the break, Åkarps IF managed to equalize through Jeliza El Joulani, and the match was suddenly finely balanced. Both teams created several goal-scoring chances for the remainder of the match, but neither was able to score again, and the match ultimately ended 2-2.
Referee Radojko Alilovic maintained good control of the game, and the teams shared the points fairly. It was a result that perhaps was not what the teams had hoped for, but it still showed that both had quality and fighting spirit.
Now both teams will have to regroup ahead of their upcoming matches in Division 3 Skåne Västra, and hopefully, they can continue to deliver exciting football and demonstrate their capabilities.
