On that Sunday afternoon at Tvärskogs IP, Team Södermöre B faced Rödeby AIF in an exciting match in Division 3 Småland/Blekinge SÖ for women. Despite the beautiful weather, unfortunately, there were no spectators present to witness the match.
It was Rödeby AIF that started the strongest, taking the lead in the 16th minute through Tuwa Rydell Artmark. Just ten minutes later, Evelina Svensson extended the lead to 2-0 for Rödeby. In the 32nd minute, Julia Strågegård scored a penalty, increasing the score to 3-0 for the visiting team before halftime.
In the second half, Rödeby continued to dominate, and in the 49th minute, Tuwa Rydell Artmark made it 4-0. Despite the large deficit, Team Södermöre B did not give up, and in the 50th minute, Julia Svensson reduced the score to 1-4 with a beautiful free-kick goal. With only 14 minutes left in the match, Sofie Jung managed to score another goal for the home team, but it was not enough to catch up.
When referee Alen Muhic blew the whistle to end the match, it was clear that Rödeby AIF had won 4-2 and had climbed up the table while Team Södermöre B remained at the bottom. An intense and high-scoring match that both teams can take lessons from for future battles.
