Hultsfreds FK faced HM IS at Knektavallen in front of an empty stand on Thursday evening. Referee Bedri Iberhysaj blew the whistle to start the match, and it was Hultsfreds FK that took the lead in the 31st minute with a penalty converted by Pauline Schmidt, giving them a 1-0 lead.
However, HM IS responded quickly and equalized just five minutes later through Emma Sjökvist, sending the teams into halftime at 1-1.
In the second half, Hultsfreds FK seized control of the game, with Malin Rydén scoring two goals within two minutes, putting her team ahead 3-1.
HM IS, however, did not give up, and Emma Sjökvist scored her second goal of the match in the 56th minute, completing her hat trick with another goal in the 61st minute, turning the match in their favor with a 3-2 lead.
But Hultsfreds FK showed character and fought their way back into the match. In the 72nd minute, they equalized through Matilda Hemmingsson and later scored the decisive goal, winning the match 4-3.
With this, Hultsfreds FK secured three important points in front of an empty stand and demonstrated their strong will to win matches even when the situation looks tough. HM IS fought well, and Emma Sjökvist had an impressive hat trick, but it was not enough to earn points in this match.
