On Sunday evening, around 50 people who made their way to Slättvallen in Mariannelund witnessed the Division 3 match between HM IS and Fredriksdal/Äng. It was an exciting encounter between two evenly matched teams that ended in a draw of 2-2. Henrik Blomgren, a very experienced referee, officiated the match.
After a goalless first half, HM IS took the lead with the first goal of the match scored by captain Emma Sjökvist in the 50th minute. It was a fine goal that gave the home team an advantage.
However, Fredriksdal/Äng did not give up, and their persistence paid off when Fanny Jansson equalized with a goal in the 76th minute, bringing the score to 1-1. It wasn’t long before Rebecca Karlsson, after an excellent pass, found the back of the net and scored the leading goal in the 81st minute.
But HM IS did not want the match to end that way and fought valiantly. Emma Sjökvist once again became the match hero when she scored another goal in the 86th minute, leading to the final score of 2-2.
A fair point-sharing as both teams fought hard, making it an incredibly exciting match to follow.
