On Tuesday evening, Julita GoIF faced IK Tun U at Öljevi IP in an exciting match in Division 3 Södermanland for women. With no spectators present, the match kicked off with Timo Granetin as the referee, assisted by Hakim Barakow and Mohamed Haji Macow.
It was, however, the visiting IK Tun U who would open the scoring just four minutes into the match, when Moa Ståhl found the back of the net. But Julita GoIF quickly sought revenge when Kajsa Bergström equalized to 1-1 in the 53rd minute of the game. Just two minutes later, Sofia Karlsson put the home team ahead by scoring 2-1.
And it would get even better for Julita GoIF, as Kajsa Bergström once again succeeded in getting the ball into the net to make it 3-1, just a minute after the second goal. However, IK Tun U did not give up, and in the 69th minute, Lovisa Ederström managed to reduce the deficit to 3-2.
But Julita GoIF continued to play offensively and pressured IK Tun U, leading to an own goal from the guests in the 78th minute. With just a few minutes left in the match, Viktoria Ekholm set the final score at 5-2 after a corner goal.
The match was filled with excitement and intense play from both teams, but it was Julita GoIF who were the better team this evening. With three points in hand, they continue their pursuit of the league title.
