IFK Trelleborg secured a convincing victory in the Division 3 match against Svedala IF at Vångavallen on Wednesday evening. The match started at a fast pace, and just three minutes in, home team player Vedat Shala scored a goal with a high arching shot that went in behind the Svedala goalkeeper. IFK Trelleborg continued to press and increased their lead to 2-0 after 15 minutes when Shala scored from a penalty after a Svedala player handled the ball in the penalty area.
Svedala IF tried to come back and created a few chances, but it was IFK Trelleborg who continued to show strength on the pitch. In the 28th minute, Carl Tomaszewski scored the third goal for the home team after a nice combination play going forward. Svedala IF substituted Pontus Nanheden in place of Stevan Balnozan in an attempt to change the dynamics of the match.
During the second half, IFK Trelleborg continued to dominate the match, while Svedala IF sought to find gaps in the solid defense. In the 71st minute, Svedala IF scored a consolation goal through Patrik Palmquist, but it did not change the outcome of the match. IFK Trelleborg maintained their lead until the final whistle and took three important points in their fight to avoid relegation.
