Malmö City FC faced Svedala IF at Kirsebergs IP in front of a small but dedicated crowd of only 63 spectators. Referee Daniel Böcker blew the whistle to start the match on Saturday afternoon.
Just 10 minutes into the game, Malmö City FC received a warning when Alexander Morgan was shown a yellow card. After an intense start to the match, it was Wale Samuel Idowu who opened the scoring for the home team in the 19th minute. Just a few minutes later, the same player extended the lead to 2-0 for Malmö City FC.
Shortly before halftime, Alexander Morgan received his second yellow card and was sent off, which meant that the home team had to play the remainder of the match with one player less. Despite this, Malmö City FC continued to dominate, and Wale Samuel Idowu completed his hat trick in the 47th minute, increasing the lead to 3-0.
However, Svedala IF did not give up and reduced the deficit through Jöns Andersson in the 51st minute. But Malmö City FC responded immediately as Erol Tahiri restored the lead to 4-1 in the 80th minute.
The match ended with a 4-1 victory for Malmö City FC, despite them playing large parts of the game with one man down. An impressive performance by the home team who took three important points in the tough Division 3 Södra Götaland.
