IF Lödde was expected to win easily against FC Trelleborg, but it turned out to be a tough match for the home team. Andreas Ruggieri opened the scoring for IF Lödde just eight minutes into the match. Simon Ingheden extended the lead in the 37th minute, and IF Lödde had a comfortable 2-0 lead at halftime.
However, FC Trelleborg did not give up and instead chose to improve their game. Joel Svendsen scored a quick goal for FC Trelleborg just two minutes into the second half. Soon after, he would also score his second goal of the evening, equalizing to 2-2. Johan Palmström received a warning in the 56th minute, and FC Trelleborg opted to substitute Chimezie Ojiego and Johan Palmström.
IF Lödde responded by substituting Jens Ivarsson for Emil Joelsson in the 59th minute. At the same time, FC Trelleborg replaced Samuel Möller with Haris Smriko in the 66th minute. IF Lödde made two substitutions at once in the 78th minute, with Nils Runnberg and Adrian Podde replacing Simon Ingheden and Ludvig Larsson.
Eric Öhlin replaced Andreas Ruggieri for IF Lödde in the 87th minute. Kristian Mjörnman left the pitch to make way for Isak Ekström at the same time. Jetullah Bahtiri received two yellow cards and a red card within just two minutes late in the match. FC Trelleborg's coach Malik Sesay was also sent off at the same moment.
The match ended in a 2-2 draw. IF Lödde's third place in the league table was thus secured, and FC Trelleborg remained in the tenth place they held before the match.
