Freddy Borg then extended IFK Trelleborg's lead to 2-0 in the 39th minute, and Paolo Lilja made it 3-0 just before halftime in the 42nd minute. The team had good control of the match and continued to apply pressure.

In the 58th minute, Oskar Malmgren scored 4-0 for IFK Trelleborg FK, thereby sealing the victory for his team. Despite some yellow cards and a couple of substitutions for both teams in the second half, neither team succeeded in scoring any more goals.
