On the Romelevallen A pitch, Veberöds AIF faced Åkarps IF in an important match for both teams. Unfortunately, spectators were not allowed due to current restrictions, but the match was nonetheless quite exciting.
Åkarps IF started strong and took the lead within five minutes through Nikola Zivanovic. Veberöds AIF fought hard and tried to create chances going forward, but it was Åkarps IF that controlled most of the play during the first half.
At halftime, Veberöds AIF made a double substitution in an effort to get back into the game. However, it wasn't until the 73rd minute that they succeeded in equalizing, thanks to Isac Larsson Munthe.
The home team's joy, however, was short-lived as Åkarps IF responded immediately with a goal from Felix Malmgren just two minutes later. Veberöds AIF attempted to press on to find another equalizer, but they were unable to put the ball in the net.
The match ended 1-2 in favor of Åkarps IF, who took home three important points. Veberöds AIF continues to sit at the bottom of the table while Åkarps IF climbs up to 5th place.
