It was an afternoon without spectators at Lomma IP A-plan when GIF Nike faced Vellinge IF in Division 3 Södra Götaland for men. The referee, Erik Gren, kept order with assistance from Harith Mahdi and Shpend Halili.
The match started with a strong push from GIF Nike, and just seven minutes in, they scored through Isak Magnusson. However, Vellinge IF immediately responded and equalized with a goal from Richard Henriksson after fourteen minutes. GIF Nike quickly regained the lead through John Henriksson, who scored their second goal after 21 minutes.
The second half began with a substitution from GIF Nike, where Theo Morales replaced Niklas Mårtensson. Vellinge IF made two substitutions shortly after, with Andreas Friis replacing Niklas Kronström and Martin Andersson replacing Anton Svedberg. However, this did not lead to any goals, and it wasn't until the 71st minute that GIF Nike could extend their lead again through Linus Lundqvist Felgenau.
Vellinge IF did not give up and managed to reduce the deficit in the 74th minute through Sebastian Sköld. After a substitution, David Borras was replaced by Elliot Sandström from Vellinge IF. GIF Nike made a substitution in the 84th minute, with Mossab Khattab replacing Lundqvist Felgenau. After this substitution, Khattab began to accumulate warnings and received his first in the 85th minute.
However, the match took an unexpected turn when Khattab received his second warning and thus a red card in the 91st minute. This forced GIF Nike to fight with one man less in the final moments. They managed to hold on and won the match 3-2 after a substitution where Kujtim Aliti replaced Isak Magnusson in the 93rd minute. It was a tough match between two good teams that played hard until the very last second.
