IFK Simrishamn secured an important victory in Division 3 Södra Götaland when they defeated Åkarps IF 2-0 away at Åkarps IP A-plan. The match started intensely, with both teams creating chances, but it was IFK Simrishamn who took the lead in the 39th minute through Pontus Wiktorsson, following a nice assist from Lucas Olsson.

Just before halftime, IFK Simrishamn extended their lead to 2-0 with Lucas Olsson himself scoring, finishing off a quick combination play beautifully.

In the second half, Åkarps IF tried to make a comeback, but struggled to create dangerous scoring opportunities against IFK Simrishamn's defense. Åkarps IF also played with one less player after Petur Freyr Gunnarsson received a second yellow card and was sent off.
