Shock victory for Säters IF FK in Division 3 Södra Norrland when they faced Strands IF at Glysis Sparbanken Arena last Saturday. The 122 spectators witnessed a Säters team that dominated the match from the start, while Strands struggled to keep up.
The match began with several yellow cards, handed out to Säters' Smajo Hadzibajramovic and Rikky Hanspers, as well as to Strands' Adam Sell. But it was Säters who would celebrate first in the 32nd minute when Andreas Helmersson scored a penalty, giving them a 1-0 lead. Just a few minutes later, Rikky Hanspers extended the lead to 2-0 with his goal in the 35th minute.
Strands tried to stay in the match, but Säters remained strong. At halftime, Strands made a substitution, bringing in Jonatan Westner for Ekrem Demirtas, but it was Säters who made the second substitution of the match when Johan Skinnars came on for Hadzibajramovic.
