It was a sunny Saturday afternoon when Forssa BK faced Strömsbergs IF on the artificial turf at Sportfältet. Despite the absence of spectators, the tension was high ahead of the match, which would determine which of the teams would emerge victorious in Division 3 Södra Norrland.
It didn’t take long for Forssa BK to show their initiative in the match. Just eleven minutes in, Alexander Höglund scored for Forssa BK, giving them a 1-0 lead. Strömsbergs IF responded with Joel Matsson, who received a warning after 20 minutes.
Forssa BK seemed to have the upper hand in the match and created several dangerous attacks against Strömsbergs IF. After 35 minutes of play, Edward Tjärnberg doubled Forssa BK’s lead to 2-0.
Before halftime, Rinwar Othman from Forssa BK received a warning, while Strömsbergs IF made two substitutions, replacing Jonas Beronius and Joel Matsson with Oliver Edén and Jesper Olsson.
The second half began strongly for Forssa BK, who extended their lead with another goal. Rinwar Othman made his mark again on the field, scoring in the 47th minute. However, Strömsbergs IF did not give up, and Erik Wennerberg pulled one back for the team in the 54th minute with a well-placed shot, making it 3-1.
Rasmus Helmefors from Strömsbergs IF received a warning after 60 minutes of play, while Forssa BK made two substitutions, replacing Joakim Hagbohm and Karim Ben Hadj Rebai with Simon Lundberg and Agon Berisha.
Unfortunately, Rinwar Othman was less fortunate later in the second half. He received a second warning due to an unfortunate incident and was forced to leave the field with a red card. Forssa BK also made two substitutions, taking off Alexander Höglund and Edward Tjärnberg for Smajo Hadzibajramovic and Filip Lindgren Dewari.
Strömsbergs IF made their final substitution, bringing on Richard Jansson for Adam Sekulic in the 85th minute, but it was too late for them to catch up in the match. Forssa BK claimed victory with a score of 3-1 and took home three points in the standings.
Referee Henrik Matsson and assistant referees Alireza Alavi and Alexander Alm did a good job of ensuring fairness in the match, despite the early skirmishes that arose on the field. It was a well-played match where Forssa BK proved to be stronger than Strömsbergs IF, deserving the win while Strömsbergs IF continued to fight to climb the table.
