At Årsunda IP, a crowd of 120 people gathered to witness the battle between the home team Årsunda IF and visiting Dala-Järna IK in Division 3 South Norrland. Referee Dejan Lukacevic, assisted by Hannibal Tesfamichel and Hussein Noor Abdikasim, took control of the match, which started at 14:00 on Saturday afternoon.
Already after 23 minutes, Emil Hodin put Årsunda IF in the lead, and the crowd's cheers echoed across the field. 9 minutes later, Emil Nordström doubled the lead when he scored his first goal of the day. The third goal also came from Emil Hodin after 41 minutes, and the home team was in full control of the match.
In the second half, Årsunda IF did not let up the pressure. Emil Hodin continued to show his scoring prowess and netted his third goal of the day after 52 minutes, completing a brilliant hat trick. Wilhelm Gustafsson came on for Dala-Järna IK after 62 minutes but could not help the team get back on track. Instead, Emil Nordström stretched Årsunda's lead further with his second goal and the team's fifth in total after 69 minutes.
In the 72nd minute, both teams made substitutions. Årsunda IF substituted Nordström for Hugo Berggren, while Dala-Järna IK took off Wille Westlund for Linus Backman and Joakim Andersson for Fredrik Sixtensson. Årsunda IF made another substitution later in the match, while Dala-Järna IK substituted Oskar Bergsman for Mattias Albinsson after 79 minutes.
As the match was coming to an end, Årsunda IF replaced Wille Ahlqvist with Hugo Eriksson. However, when the match was over, it was the home team that could proudly celebrate a 5-0 victory against visiting Dala-Järna IK. There is no doubt that Emil Hodin was the star of the match with his hat trick, but the entire Årsunda team deserves praise for their convincing performance.
