It was a hot and intense match between Edsbyns IF FF and Korsnäs IF FK at Öns IP, where the home team lost 3-4 in front of an audience of 132 spectators.
Korsnäs took the lead already in the ninth minute through Joakim Hagbohm, but Edsbyn equalized in the 26th minute with a goal from Teodor Vanberg. After intense pressure from both teams, the referee issued two yellow cards, one to Karl Johansson from Korsnäs and another to William Jonsson from Edsbyn, in the 31st and 35th minutes.
At halftime, Edsbyn substituted Kim Lindberg for Jonatan Norevi, but it was Korsnäs that took control of the game as Pontus Nykvist scored 2-1 for the away team in the 52nd minute. Edsbyn then substituted Felix Karsbo for Axel Linhaga in the 59th minute, but this did not prevent Korsnäs from continuing to dominate.
In the 69th minute, Marcus Bergsten extended Korsnäs's lead further, followed by Karl Henniger's goal in the 72nd minute, which gave the away team a 4-1 lead.
However, Edsbyn did not want to give up and scored their second goal through Albin Törnberg in the 73rd minute. Korsnäs responded with two substitutions, bringing in Isak Källberg and Oliver Strömberg for Johansson and Nykvist.
Edsbyn then substituted Hugo Nilsson for Samuel Leponse in the 79th minute, and Filip Sundberg scored their third goal in the 80th minute. Korsnäs received two yellow cards, to Källberg and Bergsten in the 84th and 90+1 minute, but they held out and won the match 4-3 after substituting Joakim Hagbohm for Ismail Hussein in the 90th minute.
Referee Fredrik Eriksson, who had Alexander Cederberg and Axel Bergström as assistant referees, kept a cool head in a match with tough play and several cards. Korsnäs IF FK showed that they should not be underestimated when they defeated Edsbyns IF FF on their home turf.
