Trosa-Vagnhärad SK faced Älta IF at Häradsvallen A in a match that could truly determine whether both teams could continue to occupy the top seven spots in Division 3 Södra Svealand. It was an almost full arena with only 50 people present on Saturday afternoon.
The match started at a rather slow pace, and it was about halfway through the first half that the first yellow card was issued – to Henrik Larsson of Älta IF. Shortly thereafter, Johan Carlsson from Älta IF received a yellow card as well. Just before halftime, Trosa-Vagnhärad SK’s Robert Massi was given a yellow card.
The second half began with a flurry of attacking attempts from Trosa-Vagnhärad SK, but it was Älta IF who would open the scoring with the first goal. Stefan Lindqvist found the net in the 55th minute, putting Älta IF in the driver’s seat.
Trosa-Vagnhärad SK then tried to get back into the match by substituting Michel Osorio Lopez for Ahmad Awad in the 58th minute. Älta IF responded by replacing Christoffer Osorio with Emil Eriksson and Kasper Kajermo with Alexander Berg in the 65th minute.
Unfortunately for Trosa-Vagnhärad SK, their efforts would not bear fruit, and it quickly became worse. Emil Eriksson scored just minutes after stepping onto the pitch, netting a goal in the 75th minute to put Älta IF two goals ahead.
The final minutes of the match were quite uneventful, with Patrick Lindberg coming on for Abdi Yusuf in the 77th minute and Efrat Rohyo receiving a yellow card for Trosa-Vagnhärad SK in the 81st minute. Älta IF wrapped up the match by substituting William Junghahn Almqvist for Jimmy Johansson in the 90th minute.
The match ended 0-2 in favor of Älta IF, and it was a well-deserved victory. Trosa-Vagnhärad SK remains in 6th place in the standings while Älta IF moves up to 7th place.
