An exciting match between Värtans IK and Västerhaninge IF took place at Östermalms IP 1 in front of an empty stand on Saturday afternoon. The match was important for both teams who were fighting for a top position in Division 3 Södra Svealand.

The second half was just as intense as the first, and after 60 minutes, Värtans IK scored the first goal of the match through David Gustafsson. Just four minutes later, Christoffer Hansebjer made it 2-0 for Värtans IK.

Västerhaninge IF fought hard and managed to reduce the lead after 66 minutes when Dennis Sundin found the back of the net. Two minutes later, it was time again, and this time it was an own goal by Värtans IK that resulted in an equalizer for Västerhaninge IF.

The match remained exciting as Västerhaninge IF substituted Vedran Ladan and Hermon Asmerom for Dennis Sundin and Andrew Sayon Nagbe. Värtans IK also chose to make substitutions when Mirza Basic and Fabian Wahlberg replaced David Gustafsson and Christoffer Hansebjer.

The match seemed headed for a draw, but in the final minutes, Västerhaninge IF managed to take the lead when Adam Rodlert scored, resulting in a victory of 3-2. Värtans IK will now face another top team in the next match, while Västerhaninge IF is pleased with the win and aims to continue their winning streak.
